Philip S. Yuan, MD, is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon with experience treating a wide range of spinal disorders. As a member of Memorial Orthopaedic Surgical Group in Long Beach, California, Dr. Yuan is a leading provider of high-quality orthopaedic care.
Dr. Yuan attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in biochemistry. Dr. Yuan then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School. After spending most of his life on the east coast, Dr. Yuan moved to the west coast to pursue a general surgery internship at the University of California San Diego where he also completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery. He also completed the prestigious spine surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University and the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
